The Just Water Partnership

Our first global campaign, Just Water, focuses on providing safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in communities in need around the world.  Just Water is a part of 'The Justice Movement'.

The goal of The Justice Movement is to raise up voices for justice and compassion in the world. We’re starting with the basics — a focus on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in South Asia, and in other areas where people don't have access to safe water. The JUST WATER campaign is an education, an event, and a celebration of hope in the midst of a global water crisis. It’s an opportunity to engage the injustice, learn how it affects people’s lives, and actively contribute to changing the stories of kids and families who live without access to safe water.

I first came in contact with the 'Just Water' campaign through a trip I took to Costa Rica in January 2015. I had just turned 21 and was full of ideas about changing the world and playing a part in 'righting wrongs'. Me & Dayna had began our conversations about starting a business that would use our creative talents to help others and to make people realise they could really make a difference. We called it 'Just Threads'. I hoped this trip would inspire me and help us to know how to make all of that imagination become a reality. That's when I met Brooklyn. I heard her speak about justice and I was captivated - I knew right then that whatever she was starting was going to be big, and it was going to do amazing things. (Her telling me all about her love of a certain Scottish song might have helped win me over...). She spoke of 'Just Water' and I remember thinking that one day our dream would maybe be able to do something to help hers.

Over those months that followed, 'The Justice Movement' and their JUST WATER campaign came to life. They launched that summer and since then thousands of people all over the world have done something to raise money - and over 2700 people now have access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene because of them.

We have already played a small part in the Just Water story (you might remember we sold some items to raise money at an event back in October 2015) but when we thought about how there are still 783 million people in the world that don't have access to clean water, we knew we needed to do more.

Sometimes being a part of JUST WATER has looked like running an event to raise awareness, or taking the 'Just Water' challenge (drinking only water for a period of time) to raise funds. Now, it also looks like buying a t-shirt or a jumper. £5 from every item of clothing you buy from Just Threads for the next three months will be donated directly to JUST WATER who are continuing to fund projects in different parts of South Asia.

We are so excited to partner with Just Water - join us?
